Mouth-Watering Thai Dessert

The word “dessert” sounds so innocent and delicious, but it is anything but that. Dessert is any course that ends at a main meal with a sweet treat. The traditional course often includes sweet dishes, including ice-cream and maybe a refreshing drink like liqueur and/or dessert wine. In some areas of the globe, including much of central and southern Africa, parts of central Asia, and much of China, there is virtually no traditional dessert course to end a meal. Sometimes desserts are offered at formal dinner parties, but in many countries they are simply for special occasions or joyous occasions.

Dessert or Pudding

Desserts may be categorized according to whether or not they are dessert or pudding, or a combination of the two. Pudding is probably the most common and classic dessert in the world. It is made by combining sweetened condensed milk with baking powder and water. It can be made into many different types, including cream puddings, ice cream puddings, fruit puddings, chocolate pudding, banana pudding, etc. There are also savory desserts, such a cheese or chocolate pudding and dessert cakes.

Sweets, on the other hand, are not sweet in the true sense of the word. They are either produced from sugar-rich fruits or from honey, or honey and water. They are created in various ways, but they all contain sugar. Examples of sweets are chocolates (how decadent and flavorful these can be! ), almonds (a very popular sweet in India), and raisins.

Desserts are very important to people throughout the world. From humble beginnings, they have grown to encompass many countries and cuisines, enriching people’s lives and taste buds forever. In fact, some people claim that some desserts are so exquisite that the very combination of ingredients that they used is enough to elicit a heavenly flavor, much more so than conventional ingredients.

Desserts are usually eaten as it is and without any further modifications. For example, an apple pie is usually eaten as is, plain and without any added sauces or toppings. Cakes are eaten for their flavors and not for any other reason. But what makes desserts special is their ingredients and how they are combined to make them taste their best.
